How much can I make on a referral? When a referral settles, Executive Referrals is paid a referral fee and we split that with you on an 80/20 basis for the first 3 deals then $295.00 for any deals after that within the calendar year. The best part is that you can send as many referrals as you want! MORE REFERRALS = MORE INCOME! Effective March 1st, 2020, any referrals given to a RE/MAX Executive agent will only have a fee of $295.00, no split!
How much of a referral fee should I ask for? When you are placing a referral directly with an agent yourself, the referral fee is an agreement between the two of you, but 25%-35% is pretty standard. It can be more or less, depending on your agreement.
Do I still have to do Continuing Ed when my license is with Executive Referrals? YES! While you, as an agent, are not active, your license is! Any active license must be renewed, and continuing education must be done, as usual.
Can I get a referral on the sale/purchase of my own home? YES! You would refer yourself to an agent just as you would any other buyer or seller.
Do I have to use a RE/MAX Executive agent to refer my business to? No. You can refer your clients to any agent with any company to or from anywhere in the country but there are some advantages to referring to a RE/MAX Executive agent. Please see the “How much can I make on a referral” section.
If I know an agent that I want my client to work with, can I use that agent, or do I have to go through you? If you know an agent, you can enter their information on the Initiate a Referral link. If you do not have an agent in mind, you can leave it blank and we will assign the best agent to the client.
What do you need from me when I place a referral? Placing a referral is simple with Executive Referrals. Click the Initiate a Referral link and enter the details of the referral. Once we receive the information, a referral agreement will be generated for you to sign with the agent that will be handling the client and you’re done. Sit back and wait for a paycheck!
Can I make rental referrals? If you know an agent that will pay a referral on a rental, then yes. Typically, agents will not pay referrals on rentals because there is so little commission involved. But at least you will be assisting your client with their needs and when they are ready to buy, perhaps they will call you!
What happens if I don’t know any agents to refer my clients to? When you don’t know any agents, simply complete the Initiate a Referral section with the client’s name, address, phone numbers, email address, whether they want to buy or sell and where and all other pertinent information. We can handle finding the best agent to assist with the client and notify you.
